HAZOP means Hazard and Operability study. It’s a well utilised industry best practice technique to identify hazards and operational issues. Looking at both hazards and operability is fundamental to any chemical process, as fixing one might cause a problem for the other. P&ID refers to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams. Analysing P&ID is a critical components of any HAZOP study.
